Volunteer database rules
Thank you for your interest in joining the SGS NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene volunteer database. This information explains what registration means, what is expected from volunteers, and how your personal information may be handled before you decide whether to create an account.
1. What registration means
- Registering in the volunteer database allows SGS-NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene to contact you about potential clinical studies for which you may be eligible.
- Registration does not guarantee that you will be selected for a study.
- You remain free to decline any invitation, withdraw from the volunteer database, or decide not to participate in a specific study.
- Before any study participation, SGS-NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene may provide additional study specific information, pre-screening documents and/or questions, eligibility criteria questionnaires and/or consent documents.
2. Who may register
- Adults who voluntarily choose to register and provide accurate information may be considered for the database.
- Eligibility for a specific study may depend on age, health status, skin or hair characteristics, product use, lifestyle factors, availability, location and other protocol specific criteria.
- Some studies may include additional restrictions for safety, scientific, regulatory or operational reasons.
- SGS NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene may decline, suspend or remove a volunteer profile where the information provided is incomplete, inaccurate, inconsistent, fraudulent, or incompatible with participation requirements.
3. Volunteer responsibilities
- Provide information that is accurate, complete and up to date.
- Read specific instructions carefully before accepting participation.
- Contact SGS-NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene promptly if you experience discomfort, irritation, an unexpected reaction, or if you can no longer attend a scheduled visit.
- Do not share your account access details with another person.
4. Study invitations and screening
SGS-NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene may use the information in your volunteer profile to identify studies that may be relevant to you. You may be asked to answer additional questions before being invited to participate. Screening questions are used to assess eligibility and participant safety. They may include questions about demographics, availability, cosmetic habits, skin or hair characteristics, general health, allergies, pregnancy or breastfeeding status, medication use, previous participation in studies, and other study specific factors. By opting into our database, you are consenting to allow SGS NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene to store this information for future recruitment efforts.
5. Consent to use Electronic Signature
SGS-NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene use Informed Consent, Photography releases, Health and Eligibility and other study related documents for each clinical study to provide necessary information about the study purpose, procedures, risks, benefits and the participants’ rights. These documents may require electronic signatures and/or handwritten signatures.
By opting into the volunteer database, you are consenting to allow SGS NAM Cosmetics and Hygiene to use your electronic signature, if applicable, in place of a handwritten signature for study documentation.
