Study Description:
The purpose of this study is to assess and compare 5 different topical products when used on the inner forearms of healthy men and women.
Study Requirements:
- Must be Hispanic or non-Hispanic Caucasian.
- Must have even skin tones, sparse hair, and no scarring, psoriasis, eczema or tattoos on the inner forearms.
- Must be willing to have topical numbing cream applied to the inner forearms and 3 small spots made with a laser on each inner forearm.
- Cannot have been diagnosed with known allergies to skin care products, topical antibiotics, adhesives, bandages, lidocaine, epinephrine or latex.
- Cannot have diabetes or high blood pressure.
- If you have significant medical conditions or take too many medications, you may not be able to participate.
- Cannot currently be participating in another study at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office.
- Cannot have participated on a study involving the inner forearms at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office within the past 2 weeks.
Visit 1 Instructions
- Avoid application of any topical products to the volar forearms for at least 24 hours prior to your first visit.
- Please dress to allow easy access for assessments on the inner forearms at the clinic (eg, loose-fitting clothing, shorts or skirts, short sleeve shirt or tank top, etc).
- Refrain from any activities that will increase body temperature or induce sweating, such as drinking hot and/or caffeinated beverages, smoking, eating hot/spicy food, exercising, sun exposure, etc, at least 1 hour before each study visit.
- Please bring a valid ID or passport.
