Study Description:
The purpose of this study is to see how effective a lip balm product is when used over the course of 1 week.
Study Requirements:
- Must have lips of average or greater than average size.
- Must be willing to not use any lip products (including Chapstick, lip balm, lipstick, pencils, or gloss) except for the provided test material for the duration of the study. (1 week)
- Must be willing to not use any body moisturizing products on the forearms for the duration of the study.
- Must be willing to continue using regular, nonmedicated body cleansing products on the forearms for the duration of the study.
- Cannot have been diagnosed with known allergies to skin care or lip care products.
- Cannot have visible cracks or scales on the lips.
- Cannot have any significant medical conditions that are not controlled by diet or medication. If you are taking more than 5 medications, you may not be able to participate.
- Cannot currently be participating in another study at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office.
- Cannot have participated on a study involving the lip/mouth area and/or volar forearms at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office within the past 2 weeks.
Visit 1 Instructions
- Avoid application of any lip products on the lips and topical moisturizing products on the forearms for at least 2 days prior to visit 1.
- Items to bring with you:
- Valid ID or passport
- Your first visit could take up to 2 hours.
