Anti-Aging Facial Serum

Study Description:

Study Requirements:

• Must be African American.
• Must have wrinkles on the forehead, on the outer corners of the eyes (crow’s feet area), under the eyes and face.
• Must have lack of firmness on the cheeks and lack of plumpness on the face, skin smoothness, even skin tones and radiance on the face.
• Must have oily and/or sensitive skin.
• Cannot have used any antiaging products on the face 14 days prior to your first visit.
• Must have a basic moisturizer and basic sunscreen of at least SPF 30 (without antiaging claims or ingredients) that has been used for the past 14 days without any issues of irritation and must bring it with you to your first visit.
• Cannot have any significant medical conditions even if they are controlled by diet or medication. If you are taking more than 5 medications, you may not be able to participate.
• Cannot currently be participating in another study at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office.
• Cannot have participated on a study involving the face at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office within the past 4 weeks.

Visit 1 Instructions

• Starting at least 16 days before visit 1: use your regular basic moisturizer (with a safe history of use for at least 14 days) on the face in the evening for at least 14 days. Stop using it 2 days before visit 1.
• Starting at least 16 days before visit 1: use your regular basic sunscreen of at least SPF 30 (with a safe history of use for at least 14 days) on the face in the morning.
• Avoid application of your regular basic moisturizer (and any other topical moisturizing products) to the face for the last 2 days prior to visit 1.
• For the 14 days before visit 1: use only your regular basic moisturizer (except for 2 days before visit 1), basic sunscreen, facial soap/cleanser, and color cosmetics without antiaging claims on the face.
• Bring your regularly used basic (without antiaging claims or ingredients) moisturizer and sunscreen of at least SPF 30 to the clinic at visit 1 for documentation (including brand and product name).
• Wash your face only with water at least 30 minutes prior to each scheduled clinic visit. Do not apply any other topical products to the face or eye area until the study visit has been completed. If you arrive having not removed all makeup, you will be required to remove the residual makeup at the clinic and wait at least 20 minutes prior to procedures.
• Please bring a valid ID or passport.
• Your first visit could take up to 3-3.5 hours.
