Eczema and Dermatitis

Study Description:

Study Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 active lesion of either eczema or dermatitis on the face or body.
• Must be willing to stop using any medication or skin moisturizing products to treat eczema and to use only the provided test material to treat eczema during the study.
• Must be willing to continue using regular, nonmedicated body cleansing products.
• Males whose affected area is the face/neck must have none to light facial hair (no beard, long sideburns, etc), and must be willing to shave within 24 hours of each visit (a small mustache and/or goatee is allowed as long as the majority of the face and neck are shaved, and the affected area is visible).
• Cannot have allergies to honey and/or tomato.
• Cannot have any significant medical conditions that are not controlled by diet or medication. If you are taking more than 5 medications, you may not be able to participate.
• Cannot currently be participating in another study at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office.
• Cannot have participated on a study involving the face or body at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office within the past 2 weeks.

Visit 1 Instructions

• · Avoid application of any skin moisturizing products to treat eczema within 3 days before visit 1.
• If your eczema lesion is on your face, remove any makeup at least 30 minutes prior to your visit.
• · Wear clothing that allows easy access to your eczema/atopic dermatitis.
• Items to bring with you:
  • Valid ID or passport
• Your first visit could take up to 2.5 hours.
