Dry Skin

Requirements

Must: 

• Must have dryness in at least 2 areas: face, lips, hands, heels, knees, elbows, and/or thighs.  

• Must have mild to moderate visible dryness in the areas with dryness.  

• Must have normal, dry, or combination skin.  

• Must not start new medications or supplements during the study.  

For males with dry facial skin: 

• Must attend visits with no to light facial hair and shave 48–72 hours before each visit. 

Cannot: 

• Cannot have known allergies to skincare products/ingredients. 

• Cannot currently use certain prescription acne medications. 

• Cannot have recently used Accutane, retinoids, prescription skin-lightening products, or certain OTC anti-aging/skin-lightening products. 

• Currently taking, or having taken within 30 days a GLP-1 medication 

• Cannot have active skin infections or dermatological conditions that could affect the study areas. 

• Cannot have sunburn, suntan, scars, tattoos, excessive hair, or other skin conditions on the test areas that could affect results. 

• Cannot have used prescription or OTC treatments for eczema/atopic dermatitis on the test areas within the past 6 months. 

• Cannot have used corticosteroids within the past 4 weeks. 

Visit 1 Requirements: 

• Do not use moisturizing products on your face, lips, elbows, hands, knees, thighs, or heels for 3 days before Visit 1. 

• If you normally shave these areas, shave 48–72 hours before Visit 1. Do not shave or remove hair within 24 hours before Visit 1. 

• Wash your face and remove all makeup at least 30 minutes before Visit 1. Do not apply any products to your face, eyes, or lips after washing. 

• If you arrive with makeup, you will need to remove it at the clinic and wait 20 minutes before procedures begin. 

• Come to the clinic with clean, product-free skin on your elbows, knees, thighs, and/or heels. Do not wash or wet these areas for at least 3 hours before Visit 1. Washing hands is okay. 

• Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your face, hands, elbows, knees, thighs, and heels (e.g., shorts, skirts, short-sleeved or sleeveless shirts, and sandals/flip-flops without socks). 

• Bring a valid government-issued ID or passport.
