Study Description:

The purpose of this study is to see how effective an investigational supplement is in reducing breakouts during menstrual cycles.

Study Requirements:

  • Must have a regular menstrual cycle with 1 cycle per month (25 to 35 days between each period start)
  • Must have at least 10 red raised bumps (pimples), blackheads and/or whiteheads on the face.
  • Cannot have taken any medication or dietary supplement marketed or prescribed for the purpose of alleviating PMS symptoms 1 month proper to study start (over the counter medications such as ibuprofen/Advil and Tylenol/acetaminophen, etc may be used if necessary).
  • Cannot currently or in the past 6 months taken hormonal contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy, antidepressants or SSRIs.
  • Cannot have any significant medical conditions that are not controlled by diet or medication. If you are taking more than 5 medications, you may not be able to participate.
  • Cannot currently be participating in another study at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office.
  • Cannot have participated on a study involving the face at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office within the past 2 weeks.

Visit 1 Instructions

  • Avoid application of any topical treatment, moisturizing, or sunscreen products to the face on the day of your first visit.
  • Wash face/remove makeup at least 30 minutes prior to first visit.
  • Please bring a valid ID or passport.
  • Your first visit could take up to 2-2.5 hours.
