Lip Plumper

Study Description:

Study Requirements:

• Must be African American.
• Must have lack of smooth looking lips, fine lines due to dryness, dry and thin lips.
• Must use a lip product that costs at least $15 three times per week and have used a lip balm/gloss in the past 3 months.
• Must refrain from using all lip products for the duration of the study (7 days).
• Must be a nonsmoker for at least 1 year.
• Cannot have used lip plumping topical products or devices in the past 2 weeks.
• Cannot have sensitive lips (easily irritated or experiencing burning/stinging when you apply products, eat spicy or salty food, or lick your lips).
• If you have significant medical conditions or take too many medications, you may not be able to participate.
• Cannot currently be participating in another study at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office.
• Cannot have participated on a study involving the face or lips at SGS, another research facility or doctor’s office within the past 2 weeks.

Visit 1 Instructions

• Must avoid application of any lip plumper products for at least 2 weeks prior the first visit.
• Do not use any lip products (eg, lipstick, lip gloss, lip balm, lip pencil, Chapstick, Blistex), at least 2 days prior to the first visit.
• Arrive to the clinic with a clean face and no topical lip products on. If you arrive having not removed all makeup, you will be required to remove the residual makeup at the clinic and wait at least 20 minutes prior to procedures.
• Please bring a valid ID or passport.
• Your first visit could take up to 2-2.5 hours.
